Be the change: Unite for a better internet
In Butterflies we looked at some photographs and sorted them into 2 categories: ok to share online and keep offline.
We looked at the pictures and discussed how we can learn a lot from photos by looking at the clues. We decided that some photos can contain clues about us and our lives.
We decided that the photos we shouldn’t share online contained information about our address, school and name.
Photos that don’t contain personal information such as a sandwich or a pair of shoes are ok to share online.

Today we have been so lucky because George North and Marc Finney (from Northampton Saints) came to visit Butterflies and Squirrels. They talked to us about their role at the Saints, how they keep fit and healthy and much more! We were able to ask lots of questions and we learnt a lot! What an amazing afternoon!
What was your favourite thing about meeting George and Marc today?

We’ve been so busy in Maths this week! Who can share some number bonds?
Can you write addition and subtraction facts using your number bonds?
For example,
3 + 7 = 10 so 10 – 7 = 3
11 + 9 = 20 so 20 – 9 = 11
40 + 60 = 100 so 100 – 60 = 40
Share your number facts below.

Hello Butterflies,
What a busy term we have had so far. Our topic ‘Bounce!’ started with a fantastic trip to Northants County Cricket ground to see a game. It was a lovely sunny day and we were so lucky to have a tour of the ground, play games, walk on the pitch and we did a great quiz! We have also been learning about other sports including rugby, football and tennis!
We have learnt lots of interesting information and developed new skills in different curriculum areas, in Maths we’ve learnt about place value, problem solving and addition. Diary entries in English, healthy lifestyles in Science and stories in Christianity in RE. What a busy first few weeks in Year 2!
What have you enjoyed about Year 2 so far Butterflies? I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
